What are the mechanics?

Tax Benefits

An investor can receive special tax benefits if they roll that gain into an Opportunity Fund within 180 days of a sale of an asset. These capital gains taxes are deferred for 10 years.

Locality

Invest in real, impactful local businesses. The OZ Fund movement is incentivizing the moving of capital from the stock market to the main street.

Reduce

After 7 years reduce the amount tax you owe by up to 15%. After 10 years, all capital gains reduction is possible.

Diversification

Real estate offers return separate from the performance of the stock market. During times of volatility real estate offers a safe position against potential down turns.
